From the legendary grand cru vineyards of Richebourg, Romanee Conti, Musigny, to the eccentric yet warmly captivating villages of Saint-Bris and Irancy, Bourgogne invites you on a voyage of the senses at the heart of its great terroirs.


The Ecole des Vins de Bourgogne (The Burgundy School of Wine) was founded in 1974 by the Bureau Interprofessional des Vins de Bourgogne (BIVB) to contribute to a structured knowledge and detailed technical understanding of Burgundy’s wines to both professionals and consumers at large.


The program is crafted for all who are interested in Burgundy wines, wherever you come from and whatever your level of experience! The contents, length of the sessions are tailor adapted to the composition and needs of the respective group.

You will learn how to look at, smell, taste, and speak about wine, while you deepen your knowledge on the wines of Bourgogne that have a diversity and richness unmatched anywhere in the world.

Bourgogne Initiation Sessions

Session duration: 90 minutes


Individual introductory sessions on the many facets of Bourgogne, from its rich history, mosaic of terroir, expression of the varietals via its sub regions, to the myriad of wine characteristics and classifications. Pick your area of interest and be enriched!

Bourgogne Découverte Program

Session duration: 2 - 3 day options


A thorough program session encompassing aspects of viticulture, winemaking, history, overview of all the subregions, classifications, wine and food pairing and wine-tasting techniques, that you can explore via setting options of a morning conference, day-long seminar, evening tasting event, or whatever suits you best.
